CodeFrame
Last Updated: January 1, 2025
Hi, I'm Kevin Hermawan, the developer of CodeFrame. I take your privacy seriously and want to be completely transparent about how CodeFrame handles your data. The short version: CodeFrame doesn't collect any personal data.
CodeFrame doesn't collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All your code snippets and settings remain locally on your device. The app functions entirely locally and doesn't require internet access to operate.
CodeFrame uses Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs to help me identify and fix issues. This data is purely technical and contains no personal information. It includes information about the app version, device type, and operating system version when an error occurs. No user content, code snippets, or personal data is ever included in these reports.
When you download CodeFrame from the App Store, Apple provides me with some aggregate statistics like the number of downloads. This information is anonymized and doesn't identify you personally. For more information about Apple's data collection, you can review their privacy policy.
Pro features are available as a one-time purchase through Apple's in-app purchase system. While Apple processes all transactions, they do provide me with some basic information such as your App Store account country and purchase date. I don't receive personal information beyond what Apple provides to verify your purchase.
The code snippets and screenshots you create with CodeFrame remain entirely on your device. They are never uploaded or synced to any servers. You have complete control over your content.
If I make any changes to this privacy policy, I'll update the date at the top and may notify you through the App Store update notes when you update the app.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how CodeFrame handles your data, you can reach me on Twitter @kvnhermawan or Bluesky @hermawan.ai.
