Terms of Use

Last Updated: January 12, 2025

Hey there! I'm Kevin Hermawan, and I'm excited that you're using CodeFrame. These terms of use explain your rights and responsibilities when using the app. By using CodeFrame, you agree to these terms, so please read them carefully.

Licensing

CodeFrame is licensed, not sold, to you by Kevin Hermawan for use strictly in accordance with these terms. The initial download comes with free core features that you can use indefinitely. Additional Pro features are available through a one-time in-app purchase. When you purchase Pro features, they become available on all your Apple devices that share the same Apple ID. This license is personal and non-transferable – you can't sell, rent, lease, lend, redistribute, or sublicense the app or its Pro features.

Intellectual Property

CodeFrame is my creation, and I maintain ownership of the app itself, its design, and its brand. You're free to use any screenshots, themes, or styles you create with CodeFrame in your own work, presentations, or social media. The code snippets you create are completely yours - you can use them however you want, whether for personal projects, work, or teaching others. I only ask that you don't try to copy or redistribute the app itself.

Acceptable Use

You may use CodeFrame for creating and sharing code snippets for both personal and professional purposes. The app is designed to help developers, educators, and anyone who wants to share code in a visually appealing way. However, you agree not to use CodeFrame for any illegal purposes or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the app's functionality.

Your Content

Any code snippets, modifications, or content you create using CodeFrame belongs entirely to you. The app is designed to keep your content local to your device, and you are solely responsible for managing and backing up your content. Since the app doesn't sync or store your data on external servers, I strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of important snippets.

App Updates

I'm constantly working to make CodeFrame better for you through new features, improvements, and bug fixes. You'll get these updates through the App Store, just like your other apps. Don't worry - your code snippets and settings will stay safe during updates. When there are significant changes to these terms, I'll let you know in the App Store release notes so you're always in the loop.

Warranty Disclaimer

I put my heart into making CodeFrame the best it can be and work hard to make it reliable and useful for you. While I aim to keep improving it, like any app, it might occasionally have hiccups or need maintenance. I want to be upfront that I provide the app as-is, and I can't make any specific promises about how it will work for your particular needs.

Changes to Terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I make significant changes, I'll notify you through the App Store update notes or when you next open the app after an update. Your continued use of CodeFrame after such changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
